Knight Vision: Editorial board announced
By:
As the school year comes to a close, we are all preparing to make one sort of transition or another. This transition may be as simple as ending the semester or as big as receiving your diploma, beginning your career or starting graduate school. The Knight is preparing to undergo its own transition. With this, our last issue of the 2009-2010 academic year, we are pleased to announce next year’s editorial board. Abby Badach is next year’s editor-in-chief. Her strong set of skills and journalistic smarts will serve the paper – and you – well. Brenna Peters will bring passion as well as a fresh perspective to the news department; her quick pen and big heart will bring new life to the front page. Jacob Tarr will join the news team as Brenna’s assistant. The current assistant news editor, Landis Erwin, returns to The Knight as the new features editor. She will be assisted by Janae Butler. Theresa Pfister will return to the arts and leisure section, this time as editor. Tessy Pawlowski will be her assistant. Zack McDermott returns for two more semesters as sports editor, a position he assumed after winter break, and has so marvelously filled. Alex Bieler, though often at Zack’s side this semester, will have an actual title next year: assistant sports editor. Kyle Hendricks will be filling the pages with advertisements in his new position as business manager. The next roundtable editor will have large wheels to fill when Jasse Camacho leaves the position, but Courtney Herzing will rise to the occasion admirably. Last, but certainly not least, our copy editor Melanie Cherry will be returning to guide us in the ways of the AP Stylebook, keep our work free of oxford commas and otherwise be a calming presence in the newsroom. Whatever transition you are preparing to undertake, we at The Gannon Knight wish you the very best of luck. We thank you for your readership; we do this for you, and we sure as heck couldn’t do this without you. Thank you, and may the next chapter of your life be filled with adventure.
